The vision behind RARECAT has always been to use wine to create positive impact. Over the years, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when wine is used intentionally, how the right bottle can widen the circle, open doors, and create meaningful connections.

Opening and sharing an exquisite bottle of wine, one that cannot easily be replaced, is an act of generosity. The Virgil Circle is for people who understand that instinctively. People who love rare and fine wine, yes, but more importantly, people who take joy in lifting others up.

At its core, the Virgil Circle is about paying it forward. It’s about using the wine to recognize others, create opportunity, and bring people together in moments that matter.

And it isn’t for everyone. It isn’t meant to be. The Virgil Circle is for people who naturally open irreplaceable bottles for others.

People relate to rare wine in fundamentally different ways.

Some people want quiet access. They enjoy knowing a wine is there when it matters, without any expectation attached. Others instinctively use rare bottles socially, opening them to recognize someone, mark a moment, or bring people together.

Trying to force both temperaments into a single structure creates anxiety, so we didn’t do that. We simply named the difference.

One path is access through Virgil Allocation.

The other is stewardship through the Virgil Circle.

Neither is better. They just suit different personalities.

The Allocation for the first release represents the first collectors entrusted with Virgil by RARECAT and its future. Priority goes to Virgil Circle followed by 6 bottle allocation (senority with us) then the 3 bottle allocation. Given the limited nature of this exquisite wine, allocations can only be guaranteed for Virgil Circle members.

Most people won’t.

Those who do usually arrive through a connection, a referral, a conversation, an invitation, or a bottle opened at the right moment.

Shipping is based on order size, destination, and selected service. Our standard carriers are UPS and FedEx Ground, though we can accommodate any service level requested. While we are a small, family-owned winery, we partner with one of the largest wine shippers in the United States. If it is legal to ship to your location, we can make it happen.

Members enjoy discounted flat-rate shipping on club orders, one of the many benefits of joining a RARECAT club.

We do everything possible to get your wine to you in perfect condition but somethings are out of our control. If you wine arrived damage, please notify us within 14 days, take a picture and send the photo by email. Keep the bottle(s). Our team who will arrange a replacement or credit once we evaluate the issue.
