Our 2017 vintage blend is one of our favorite Napa Cabernet Sauvignons. The nose and richness come from the Howell Mountain vineyard, the structure comes from the Cañon Creek vineyard, and the silk mouth feel comes from the St Helena vineyard. This wine has both a lovely rich texture and aromatic nuance of black fruit and spice. This wine pairs beautifully with a thick steak, juicy burgers, or meaty BBQ portobello mushroom.

This Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is blended from three vineyards: 36% Cañon Creek, 54% Howell Mountain, and 10% St. Helena.
Production Notes
The tank was inoculated the day after harvest and received 4 gentle pumpovers per day. Total maceration time was only 10 days, This wine was aged in 65% new French oak barrels. Final blend was made after 22 months in barrel.

The year began with abundant rainfall, followed by a mild Spring resulting in extended flowering with little shatter. A Labor Day weekend heatwave kicked harvest into high gear, then cool weather allowed sugar levels to return to normal.
